Pitta (Summer) Season Support

  • 2 Steps

About

Summer, in Ayurveda, is considered pitta season. Governed by the elements of fire and water, the qualities of fire really stand front-and-center during the summer months. Fire is hot, sharp, and intense. It's catabolic and transformative. And in the right amount, we feel radiant and energetic, we can digest food, emotions, and our lived experiences. But too much fire can lead to feeling burned-out, critical, judgmental, or just plain short-tempered. During pitta season we want to cool, calm, and soothe. We want to take time to play, rest, and find joy! I've created these practices and a supplemental PDF to guide you through different pitta balancing seasonal rituals. Included is a seasonal yoga flow, meditation practice, and pranayama experience. The PDF shares more daily routines, additional practices, and some of my favorite recipes. I hope you enjoy and find support!
